The Pure Ocean 2022 challenge on the Bermuda-Lorient route

The Bermuda Lorient - Pure Ocean Challenge on the Bermuda Route in Lorient is a sailing challenge across the Atlantic open to all types of yacht. Its vocation is to be a race focused on the urgency of saving the ocean and the means to achieve it. It is organized by Pure Océan, Absolute Dreamer and Lorient Grand Large.

Advanced Tracking installed a Globalstar Smartone Solar geolocation beacon (an intelligent GPS satellite tracker powered by solar energy) on the Pure Océan boat for real-time tracking. The map web site for the various boats' positions is available on the organizers' websites. This will enable the general public to follow the crossing.

For this challenge, Advanced Tracking is providing the satellite communications that will enable the crew of the JP54 to send videos and news!

With the interactive Advanced Tracking map, updated in real time, you can follow the progress of Jean-Pierre Dick's JP54 "Notre Méditerranée - Ville de Nice" as it crosses the Atlantic.

Pure Ocean
also raises funds for ocean scientific research and awareness of ocean preservation. A kitty has been created online on Gandee to support the project: click here.
