Worldwide coverage
Above all, are you looking for a beacon with seamless worldwide coverage for geolocation anywhere, including at sea, to ensure your safety or the protection of your boat? That's what the SmartConnect !
An expanding satellite network
This concentrate of technology, designed jointly by geolocation and satellite communications specialist Advanced Tracking and leading satellite operator and global connectivity provider Kinéis, is based on an existing, rapidly expanding network of satellites and nano-satellites (ARGOS).
Accessible data on Konectis
Being a GSM / Satellite hybrid, the SmartConnect beacon provides geolocation and alerts either via the GSM network, or via the Kinéis Satellite network, since it automatically switches to the satellite network as soon as it loses the GSM network. Mobile connection and NMEA 2000 data are also integrated via the WIFI interface, and all this data is accessible via the Konectis platform konectis.com, developed by Advanced Tracking.
LoRaWAN telecommunications protocol
This new beacon integrates LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide-Area Network) wireless sensors, enabling objects with low power consumption to communicate at low data rates while connected to the Internet. This LoRaWAN telecommunication protocol enables the connection of sensors or objects requiring long battery autonomy (up to 2 years) in a reduced volume and cost, ideal in a boat environment. These sensors can transmit a wide range of information in real time, such as water ingress, intrusion, temperature, smoke, battery charge and so on. You can imagine a wide range of applications, and alerts to match.
Controlled acquisition cost and fixed price.
Kinéis has developed a very small chip, which is easy to integrate and consumes very little energy, thus ensuring a very competitive acquisition cost and monthly fee, including a large amount of data.
