Nicolas, Romain and Thomas, 3 first cousins with a passion for the Ocean, linked by the same spirit of adventure and driven by the desire to change the world, created the NGO Sail for Water in April 2014.
Recognized as a non-profit organization, Sail for Water is launching a pioneering project: combining the defense of a fundamental human right with an extraordinary sporting challenge, promoting universal access to drinking water during a round-the-world sail!
Sail for Water's ambition is threefold:
- Bring clean drinking water to all those who need it, thanks to a high-performance, low-cost filter;
- Enable everyone to get personally involved and participate in the project;
- Raising awareness among as many people as possible, especially young people.
The mission: to distribute 1,000 filters in 1,000 days to help over 100,000 people around the world.

Advanced Tracking is delighted to sponsor this project, enabling Nicolas, Romain and Thomas to travel in complete safety, thanks to the Delorme Inreach geolocation beacon we've provided. We wish you all the best for this wonderful project!
Our adventurers reached Cape Verde for their first filter distribution mission. (November 27, 2015)
On the small island of Maio, a neglected island in the Cape Verde archipelago, they distributed 50 filters, equipped the island's hospital and all the health centers.
After scouring the island from top to bottom, they also equipped all the classrooms in all the primary and nursery schools.
